Launched in Fall 2024, the Diamond Development Mentorship Program is a collaborative initiative between the Nancy & Donald Resnick Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes and the Temple Owl Club. Designed to foster personal and professional growth, the program connects current Temple student-athletes with alumni mentors who provide guidance, career insight, and support as they prepare for life beyond sport.
In its pilot year, the program matched 20 student-athletes with 15 alumni mentors, creating meaningful one-on-one relationships rooted in shared Temple experiences and professional development. Now entering its second year in 2025–2026, the program continues to expand in scope, offering a structured series of virtual and in-person touchpoints throughout the academic year.
Mentors and mentees meet monthly via Zoom, engaging in guided conversations focused on leadership, career exploration, and goal setting. Participants complete required Athletics Department mentor training and submit brief session reports to reflect on progress and ensure accountability.
