In order to encourage schools and colleges to continually improve their teaching, scholarly and creative activities, and service, Temple University implemented Periodic Program Review (PPR) in 2003 as a regular process.

  • External review

Academic programs are reviewed every seven years with the aims of:

  • Assessing what programs do
  • Clarifying rationales for teaching, research, and service missions
  • Reviewing indicators of quality and student outcomes
  • Establishing action plans for improvement
