[node:video] Temple University is committed to building a supportive and inclusive campus culture. To that end, the university has established the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL) at Tuttleman Learning Center as a safe space on campus where students, faculty, staff and the surrounding community are empowered to share and learn from diverse perspectives. This structure offers a variety of solution-focused resources to enhance diversity, equity and inclusion across the university. Areas include the Center for Anti-Racism, an interfaith center, a gender and sexuality inclusion center as well as resources focused on Title IX, equal opportunity compliance, education, strategic partnerships, intercultural engagement and more.
“Our goal at IDEAL is to not only create holistic belonging but also provide students, staff and faculty with the necessary skills that promote social change,” said Nu’Rodney Prad, director of student engagement at IDEAL.
