Tara Evans joined the Nancy & Donald Resnick Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes as a Senior Advisor in August 2014. She was promoted to Associate Director in 2015, a role she held until 2022, when she was elevated to her current position as Director of the Resnick Center.

Prior to her arrival, Tara served as the Counselor Coordinator at Temple’s Russell Conwell Learning Center at Temple University. She has also worked in student-athlete support roles at Villanova University and Florida Atlantic University, where she was named Associate Director and worked closely with the men’s and women’s basketball and football programs.

A former student-athlete at Syracuse University, Tara earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology while competing on Syracuse’s Swimming & Diving Team. She went on to earn her master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services with a specialization in Athletic Counseling from Springfield College.

Tara is married to Peter Evans, and together they have two daughters, Morgan and Taylor.
